- Poor Customer Service: Your customers will not want to hear from you unless they have a problem. When your customers have a problem, they will want to get through to you immediately. Customers hate to have to hunt through a site to find the contact details and they hate answering questions before getting a phone number. Nearly 22% of customers were found to have abandoned a website because of unreachable customer service. So, make sure your contact information is available on every page and that your customers can get through to you at any time.
- Poor Search Results or Filter Results: Customers hate to go through endless pages of product grids. Unless you sell a few select items, it is very important to provide your customers with a way to sort and filter out category pages and the search results. A good and filtered navigation system is a must for your ecommerce site, since it makes it easier for customers to find the products they want.
- Not including Search Options: Most customers have disdain for ecommerce sites that do not provide search options. You don’t want your customers clicking through each page of your site to find a product they like, instead of just sending them directly to that page through a search option.
- Forcing customers to login to order: Most customers hate it when ecommerce stores make it mandatory for them to login or register with the site in order to make a purchase. If they want to check out your stuff as a guest, then let them!
